Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

 

Entry into the course

St Mary’s Institute has the following entry requirements: International students must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old)
  • Have completed a Year 12 or equivalent high school certificate
Candidates will also be required to complete a pre-enrolment Candidate Self-Assessment as part of the application and participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course.

Course Duration

Total Duration: 52 Weeks (including holidays)

Contact Weeks: 42 Weeks

This course will be delivered over a period of 52 weeks (including holidays). Classes will be schedules for 42 weeks over 4 academic terms with 10 weeks holiday.

Where students successfully apply for credit and/or RPL the course duration will be shortened accordingly and adjustments made to any COE issued or remove it or add to the course duration.

Delivery mode and location

This course will be delivered face-to-face in a classroom-based setting which includes the simulation of care-based environment. This course also has work placement requirements.
